Here at Chippindale Plant, we provide the complete hire & sales service for plant, tools, attachments and site accommodation throughout the entire North of England and beyond. We operate from our head office in Leeds and a further 8 strategically placed depots in Catterick, Huddersfield, Keighley, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield and York.
As a family business founded in 1949, we now have over 67 years of experience offering an exceptional service and some of the most reliable equipment in the industry.

We’ve been family run since 1949 when Wilfred Chippindale first founded us, now with an extra 120 staff in the team; we still keep those same family values at the heart of how we do business!
Today the company is run by Nigel and Peter Chippindale, who take pride in having a hands on day to day role in the business, getting to know our customer’s needs and making you feel as much a part of the team as us.
Peter took over from Gordon Chippindale in 1989 after finishing his engineering degree at Sheffield University, Nigel joined alongside Brian Chippindale in 1983 after completing his HND in Business Management. The two have grown to be a formidable team and have taken the company from strength to strength, earning multiple awards and building an enviable reputation for quality and customer care.
