Our Screening Bucket Hire FAQs

Looking for more information our screening bucket hire process? Learn more with our FAQs below, or you can speak to one of our experts who can help you with everything for your next project.

01 I’m a new customer, what does the excavator screening bucket hire process look like?

To start the excavator screening bucket hire process, simply select “Enquire Now” next to the piece of machinery you’re interested in and it’ll prompt you to fill out some basic contact details. We can then get in touch to discuss your project, or give us a call and we can start the discussion straight away. All of this can also be done at one of our depots which are open between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, so our doors are always open and our kettle is always on.

We will find out more about your project and the solution you’re looking for. You might come to us knowing exactly which excavator screening bucket you want to hire, or you may want some guidance, and we’re more than happy to help either way. If you’re needing to hire other equipment alongside your screening bucket, whether it’s an excavator for hire or something completely unrelated, this can all be arranged. We will put together a final hire plan and then can start the new account process:

For new customers, you’ll need to fill out a new customer account form, along with providing your ‘hired-in plant insurance’. If you don’t have this, not to worry, we can arrange HireSecure cover for an additional 20% charge. This process takes 1-2 days, but on most occasions we can complete this quicker if you need to start your screening bucket hire ASAP.

Your account manager will then be assigned, who will know every detail of your hire plan. Throughout the process, if you ever have a question or new requirement, your account manager will be ready and waiting to help.

We will then deliver your screening bucket hire equipment on the arranged date. Our trained engineers will calibrate the attachment for you, ensuring everything is running smoothly before they leave. No need to tell us when you think you’ll finish, just give us a call and we can pick up the equipment.

During the hire, we can provide ‘live-hire’ reports and invoicing information, which larger construction sites tend to find particularly useful.

When you’re finished with the screening bucket, or any other equipment, simply give us a call. We will pause all charges, have a debrief with you of your experience and finally invoice accordingly.

02 What size excavators are your screening buckets for hire compatible with?

Our range of rotary screening bucket hire machinery is compatible with excavators between 8 and 20 tonnes.

The smaller screening buckets in our fleet are designed for use with 8-14 tonne excavators, which are ideal for waste handling, such as demolition waste, recycling, backfilling and topsoil cleaning. They use aggressive counter blades to effectively make coarse materials much finer, with the precision counter blades separating the materials.

Our larger screening buckets for hire are compatible with 14-20 tonne excavators, being designed for the screening and selection of a wide range of materials in recycling, demolition and more. Industry leading machinery like this has an unmatched reliability and toughness.

Our team knows every detail about our screening bucket hire, so give us a call and we’d be more than happy to talk you through the different options we have to find the right solution for your project.

03 I need more than one excavator attachment for my project, how would this work?

When you initially enquire through the website for screening bucket hire, simply click “Add to Enquiry Form” by the excavator attachment you’re interested in to add to your quote form, you can repeat this for multiple attachments and/or products. Alternatively when we speak over the phone, you can tell us more about your other requirements. We can advise on the best choices for your project, or we can simply arrange the hire if you know what you’re looking for.

We can map out roughly which attachments you need alongside your excavator screening bucket hire, then finalise your plan. On the arranged date, we will deliver your first excavator attachment and it will be fully calibrated by our engineers. We understand that projects run over, which is why we never set strict hire durations. Instead, we come to fit your attachment, then simply call us when you’re finished with it. We can deliver and calibrate the next attachment and collect the other one to return to the depot.

At Chippindale, we work hard to make the entire hire process as simple as possible for you, and when you need multiple pieces of machinery over a certain time, it’s no different!
