Our Air Compressor FAQs

Learn more our air compressor hire here with our frequently asked questions. Our expert team are also available for any additional questions you have.

01 How does the compressor hire process work?

After deciding that you’re interested in finding out more about our air compressor hire, simply select the “Enquire Now” button to fill out a short form, then our team will get in touch with you. For those of you who would prefer to just pick up the phone, our committed experts are ready and waiting. Also, you’re more than welcome to come straight to the depot to talk about our air compressor hire in person. At this point, we will talk about your project and if you know which type of air compressor you want to hire, we can get that all arranged. If you’re unsure which compressor you need, we can conduct a project audit and provide recommendations. We will also see if there is any other plant machinery for hire that you need, whether to use with the air compressor or for other functions on site, from fuel and water bowsers to power equipment hire.

Once you’re happy with the plan in place for your air compressor hire, we can start your account setup:

If you’re a new customer, you’ll need to complete an account set up form, along with providing us with your ‘hired-in plant insurance’. Not to worry if you don’t already have this, we can organise HireSecure cover for an additional 20% charge. This process will take 1-2 days, or let us know if it needs sorting urgently.

We will then discuss the final details of your compressor hire and assign your account manager. They will be just a call away throughout the process and will know every detail of your project to help with any questions or requirements.

Then, on the arranged date, we will deliver all equipment to the site and it will be set up by a trained engineer. Before delivery, we always conduct a final service, to avoid any disruptions due to machinery faults throughout the hire. You can keep the air compressors for as long as you need, then give us a call when you’re finished and we will come to collect.

If you would find them useful, we can provide ‘live-hire’ reports throughout the hire process, along with our easy reporting and invoicing features.

Once you’re finished, we will pause all charges and carry out a debrief with you to make sure you were fully satisfied with the air compressor hire experience. Finally, back at the depot we will conduct another service to make sure everything is in perfect condition for the next air compressor hire.

From here, we will look forward to hopefully working with you again!

02 Do you work with industry leading brands?

Absolutely, we only invest in industry leading brands. Our air compressor hire fleet features market leaders Atlas Copco, with other dealerships in our hire fleet including Volvo, Epiroc, BOMAG, Mecalac and Stihl machinery.

We always invest in industry leading brands across all of our hire fleets, including for our air compressor hire. Not only does this ensure the safest experience for your team, ease of use and comfort, but also the most efficient performance. We also service our machinery twice the industry average, from our air compressors to our cabbed dumpers, while also utilising exclusive software to quickly and accurately diagnose faults in house or on-site, to prevent anything disrupting your air compressor hire.

With features including quick access panels for smooth and simple operation, a spillage free strong undercarriage, and heavy-duty air intake filters for clean, continuous use, you can rely on our air compressor hire to exceed expectations.

03 What size air compressors are available to hire?

We have a variety of air compressors for hire, from more compact models to much larger ones designed for high-intensity tools.

The smallest of our mobile air compressors are popular amongst construction companies and tradesmen needing a solution to power a single pneumatic tool such as a hammer drill, jackhammer or grinder. The lightweight design makes transporting around the site really easy. Some of the smaller air compressor hire models can power two tools continuously and are suitable for more intense jobs like sandblasting. If you’re not sure which compact air compressor is right for you to hire, our team can utilise their knowledge to advise.

Our larger high pressure air compressors for hire are specifically designed for high-intensity tools such as rock drills that are used in quarrying, or large pneumatic breakers for road maintenance. Able to power up to three large pneumatic tools at once, it is very powerful, however you can adjust the pressure settings to suit different functions. Despite the size and power, the lightweight design means that any large car, van or 4x4 can easily transport this air compressor for hire around the site.

04 Why choose us for your air compressor hire?

Aside from our heavy investment in industry leading equipment for our air compressor hire, something that really sets us aside from the competition is our commitment to providing the best customer experience. Starting as a family business over 75 years ago, with the company still being run by family, we continue to get to know you and your business as we always have done. Our core family values, along with the fine tweaking over the last 7 decades to create an impeccable infrastructure, makes us different from other plant hire companies.

From the second you get in touch with us about air compressor hire, you’ll start to see how we’re different. You won’t be on the phone to a sales team, but our hardworking depot staff who know all of the machinery through and through. Never pushy, our team simply listens to what you’re looking for and advises on the best machinery. They won’t oversell if something isn’t necessary, but simply want to help you find the best solution for the job. Many of our first time customers soon become return customers, shown by our customer reviews, which is a testament to how much our team really cares about what we do.
