Our Leeds plant hire and sales depot (Head Office) was where it all started for us in 1949, when Wilfred Chippindale opened our first ever depot on Barrack Street, LS7. Since then, Chippindale Plant Leeds has moved and upgraded to the large modern site where you can find us now, consisting of two buildings: Prima House and Butterbowl Works. This site houses our Plant, Tools, Cabin and Excavator Attachments divisions. We also have our full plant sales operation here, with new and used plant machinery in stock available to view.

Chippindale Plant has always been a leading local provider of plant hire and sales in Leeds, and we strive to provide the best service in the area as we have done for the past 75+ years. Aside from our Head Office, we also have our plant hire centre at Prima House, alongside our new plant sales division. The team has collective experience of well over 100+ years, so you can rest assured we’ve got your back and will be your on-hand expert for any projects.

Along with our plant hire in Leeds, we also run our plant sales operation from this depot, with two large sales areas showcasing the best the plant industry has to offer, with everything from the latest BOMAG rollers, Volvo excavators, Mecalac dumpers, Atlas Copco Compressors to Epiroc Hydraulic Breakers and more all in stock and ready to go. Nigel and Steve deal with all sales enquiries, so don’t hesitate to drop a quick web enquiry or pop down for a cuppa and a proper biscuit.

Our Leeds site also has its very own Stihl Shop and Parts department open to the public. It’s one of the largest Stihl shops in the region with experts on-site to help with any questions. We also have a full Stihl manufacturer-qualified workshop in the back, so should you need any of your equipment servicing or setting up, we’re here ready to go.
