We offer industry-leading Atlas Copco handheld breakers to suit your next project, feel free to email or call us with any questions or you can browse some of the frequently asked questions below!
01 What is the handheld breaker hire process like for new customers?
If you’re interested in handheld breaker hire with us, all you need to do is select “Enquire Now” next to any concrete breaker, or you could give us a call. If you prefer to do things in person, you’re more than welcome to pop down to one of our depots between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You’ll speak to one of our passionate team, who will find out a bit more about what you’re looking for. You may know exactly which concrete breaker you want to hire, or perhaps you want to utilise the expert knowledge of our team, either of which is absolutely fine. If you require any other machinery from our plant hire fleet, or potentially site cabin hire, then we can also arrange this. Once you’re happy with the hire plan we’ve put in place, we can start the new account set up:
The first step is to fill out a new customer account form, along with providing us with your hired-in plant insurance. Don’t worry if you don’t have this, as we can arrange it for an additional 20% charge.
You’ll be introduced to your account manager who will be your point of contact throughout the handheld breaker hire process, so if you have any questions, they’ll be available to help.
On the date of your arranged hire, we will deliver your concrete breaker hire machinery to site, along with anything else in the plan. An engineer will ensure everything is running smoothly before we leave.
Throughout your concrete breaker hire, we can send live-hire reports and also invoicing information if that would be useful, which tends to be the case on larger projects.
Once you’re finished with the handheld breaker, all you need to do is give us a call. There’s no need to tell us in advance when you think you’ll be finished, as we know projects can easily run over, so you can keep it for as long as needed. We will pause all charges, collect the concrete breaker hire and then hopefully look forward to working with you again soon.

Quite simply, when you choose Chippindale Plant for your concrete breaker hire, you’ll firstly be able to utilise the knowledge of our exceptional team (and maybe even enjoy a cuppa and biscuit with them at one of our depots), then you’ll have the best quality machinery available to site.
03 What are the benefits of Atlas Copco concrete breakers?
Atlas Copco is the world standard when it comes to concrete breakers, so we’re proud to have them in our hire fleet. They feature low vibration levels, lightweight construction, compact yet powerful designs and exceptional power and productivity levels. These handheld breakers for hire are easy to handle whilst never compromising on power.
04 What safety features do Atlas Copco’s concrete breaker hire machinery feature?
The Atlas Copco Cobra concrete breakers feature the renowned HAPS system, otherwise known as the hand arm protection system. This focuses on creating low vibrations to allow operators to work on heavy-duty jobs for more than twice the time that they would with other petrol breaker models in the industry. Not only does this allow the operator to use it for a longer period at the time, but it also helps to reduce the risk of long term damage to the hands and wrists.
