01 What Brands Of Vibratory Plates and Rammers Do You Have?

Our range of vibratory plates and rammers is exclusively BOMAG, the industry leader for this type of machinery. We have worked with BOMAG equipment for decades and can vouch for its durability, efficiency and power. With highly manoeuvrable designs despite the power, high impact force for maximum compaction and highly reliable engines, we’re confident that our range of BOMAG vibratory plates and rammers will exceed your expectations.

02 Vibratory Plate vs Rammer

If you’re considering whether to use a vibratory plate or rammer, the main consideration is the type of material you’re compacting. Rammers are better suited to clay based soils and small spaces, with the compaction happening as a result of impact. Vibratory plates compact as a result of vibration and are suited to gravel, asphalt, tarmac or sand based materials. Vibratory plates are also larger than rammers so would have a slightly better manoeuvrability, so this is something to consider.

03 How To Safely Use BOMAG Vibratory Plates and Rammers

In order to safely use BOMAG vibratory plates and rammers, make sure that the instruction manuals have been read in full and all safety advice is followed. Check that all safety guards are in place before the machinery is started and ensure that there are no electrical cables, gas or water pipes that could be damaged. You should wear the necessary eye protection and protective boots, as well as a dust mask. Use vibratory plates and rammers in well ventilated areas. The BOMAG vibratory plates also feature a vibration insulated guide handle, to reduce arm and hand vibration for the operator.
