Our Pile Croppers Hire FAQs
Learn more about the pile cropper hire process here.
01 What is the pile croppers hire process like for new customers?
If you’re interested in our pile croppers hire, simply select “Enquire Now” next to a piece of machinery. Our different options will be discussed in detail as we create your hire plan, so if you change your mind that’s no problem. If you’d prefer to give us a call directly or drop into one of the depots, rather than filling out a form, that’s fine with us too. We’ll be ready and waiting between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, at any of our depots, with a cuppa and a proper biscuit.
We can have a discussion about what you’re looking for, and if you know exactly what you need, we can simply start to arrange the pile cropper hire. If you need more guidance on the right choices for your project, or you need additional plant hire machinery alongside your pile cropper hire, our team of experts will be able to help you find the ideal solution. Whether it’s one excavator attachment or a full site’s worth of machinery, tools and site cabins, we have the equipment and expertise to get it right every time.
Once you’re happy with the pile cropper hire plan in place, we will start the new customer account set up:
You’ll fill out a new customer form to begin with, as well as provide us with your hired-in plant insurance. If it’s expired or you don’t currently have any, don’t worry, as we can arrange it for an additional 20% charge.
We will then assign your account manager, who will know everything about your hire plan and will be available throughout the process, whether it’s a quick call or a site visit.
On the arranged date, we will deliver your pile cropper hire and any other machinery. Our engineer will come to site to calibrate the attachment, so everything is running smoothly before we leave.
If it would be useful throughout the process, we can send live-hire reports and invoicing information. For any additional questions, just give your account manager a call.
You don’t need to let us know in advance when you’ll be finished with your pile cropper hire, simply give us a call, we will pause charges and collect the equipment ASAP. We know how common it is for projects to run over, so just let us know when you’re finished.
02 What size excavators can your pile croppers hire machinery be attached to?
Our pile croppers are designed to fit excavators that are 13 tonnes or more, making them ideal for use in demolition, landscaping, quarrying, and in all sectors of the construction industry. We have excavators to buy and to hire if you don’t already have one to use, and our team will be more than happy to help find the right choice for you and your project.
03 Can I use my own excavator for the pile croppers hire?
Yes, if you’re hiring a pile cropper with us, you can use your own excavator. Whether you have bought an excavator or are hiring from elsewhere, we have a wide range of head brackets that mean our pile croppers can be attached to any excavator. No matter which option you choose, our engineers will be there to calibrate the attachment and to make sure everything is running smoothly.
