About Leeds Plant Hire
Our Leeds plant depot (Our Head Office) was where it all started for us back in 1949; Wilfred Chippindale opened up our first depot actually in Barrack Street (LS7) however 16 years later in 1965 we relocated to a much bigger site called Butterbowl Works. Now another 47 years after that we decided to relocate once more… next door to Butterbowl into a brand new purpose built unit called Prima House.
Here at Prima House, we have our head office upstairs but more importantly, the plant hire desk downstairs is run Andy and Debbie, the legendary combo, plant hire and construction is their speciality with nearly 60 years’ experience just between the two of them. We also run our plant sales operation out of Leeds, with two large sales area’s showcasing the best the plant industry has to offer with everything from the latest Bomag rollers, Volvo excavators, Mecalac dumpers, Atlas Copco Compressors and more all in stock and ready to go. Nigel and Steve deal with all sales enquiries so don’t hesitate to drop them an enquiry or pop down for a cuppa and a proper biscuit.
That’s not all either! We have our Stihl Shop and Parts department here also, open to the public, one of the largest Stihl shops in the region with experts on site to help with any questions. We also have a full Stihl manufacturer qualified workshop in the back, so should you need any of your equipment servicing or setting up we’re here ready to go. Many of the other Stihl shops in the region don’t have the same level of training as our staff and as such can only service a handful of products, however, we can service everything from ride-on mowers all the way down to circular saws.
If you’re looking for plant and tool hire in Leeds, here is how to find us. We’re on the Leeds ring road (A6110) by Pudsey you really can’t miss us, it’s the giant yellow building a little bit after you pass Ringway’s ford garage or if you’re coming from the other direction just after the roundabout past Sainsbury’s.
