Our Hydraulic Breaker Hire FAQs

Learn more about our hydraulic breakers for hire with our FAQs below. If you need any more information about the process, or hiring multiple attachments and machinery, you can also speak to our expert team.

01 How does the hydraulic breaker hire process work?

If you’re interested in our hydraulic breaker hire, or want to find out more information you can contact us by simply selecting “enquire now” next to any product or piece of machinery, you will be prompted to fill out a short contact form to let us know your requirements. You can specify how you’d like us to reply, via call or email or alternatively feel free to visit any of our depots which are open 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, and we will be ready and waiting with a cuppa, proper biscuit and our knowledge to discuss the perfect solution for your project.

Once the order is confirmed, the below hire process will begin:

You will be required to complete a new account setup form (if you haven’t already), and we will also require your ‘hired-in plant insurance’ so make sure to have that at the ready; don’t worry if you don’t have any insurance we can provide you with HireSecure insurance for an additional 20% charge.
The account setup can take 1-2 days to process, but let us know if you have an urgent timescale and we’ll do our best!

Once your account is setup, all information relating to your hire will be discussed with you and you will be appointed an account manager who will learn your business & project and will be on hand at all times to assist you with any requirements.

All your hire equipment will now be delivered to your destination at the arranged time by a trained engineer who will setup and calibrate your excavator attachment to your machine for you.
You don’t have to tell us when you want to return the machinery just call us when you’re finished

While your hires are on-going you can arrange ‘live-hire’ reports or any other useful reporting information to be sent on a weekly basis if you’d like (useful for those with large construction sites). We also have a range of easy reporting & invoicing features to make life easy.

Once you’re finished with your equipment, just contact us to ‘off-hire’ and we will pause all the charges, come collect the machinery as soon as possible and invoice accordingly.

Don’t forget, we’re a one-stop-shop so if you have any other requirements just let us know and we can provide pricing for your project as a whole. For instance we provide a large range of excavators for hire that are commonly hired alongside hydraulic breakers and other excavator attachments, aswell as an expansive fleet of plant, tools, excavator attachments and site accommodation.

If you are not sure exactly which piece of machinery you require, we can provide guidance and advice from our expert team. Our team has been in industry for years, has regular manufacturer training and can provide invaluable advice to save your project on time and costs – it's something we pride ourselves on.

02 What types of hydraulic breakers can I hire?

We have a wide range of hydraulic breakers for hire, to suit all kinds of different site needs. Our hire fleet features Epiroc machinery, which has transformed the construction and mining industries. Since they invented first hydraulic breaker nearly 60 years ago when they were named Atlas Copco, we have seen how their machinery has innovated over time, continuing to dominate the industry as market leaders. They understand what is required to maximise performance, whether you need hydraulic breaker hire for use with 1 tonne excavators on small projects, or a heavy-duty breaker for use on a 50 tonne excavator on the country’s largest quarries, we’ve got you covered.

The smaller hydraulic breakers for hire, or our light breakers, are ideal for smaller demolition, building and roadwork jobs, as they can be easily manoeuvred in confined spaces, such as inside buildings, urban areas or in narrow trenches, this is due to us being able to fit these to almost any small excavator. Despite their small size, the weight to power ratio is market leading on the Epiroc breakers. If you have multiple hydraulic breaker hire attachments, the smaller options can easily be attached and detached using our quick hitches to help with efficiency, these are plug and play and easily swappable with other attachments on the fly (not just breakers).

Our medium sized hydraulic breakers are designed for use on excavators around 15-32 tonnes, making them ideal for medium to large projects including road and ramp levelling, secondary rock breaking, tunnelling, trenching and many more applications. You can expect the same high levels of reliability and performance with these breakers, thanks to fewer, high precision parts and a design process that involves rigorous testing on these exact job sites.

Our largest hydraulic breaker hire machinery is suitable for excavators up to 50 tonnes, being well suited to primary rock excavation and also secondary rock breaking for large construction projects and at quarries. Despite the exceptional power, the Epiroc vibro-silence system that is available across all of their hydraulic breakers, enables low vibration, low noise levels and enhanced performance thanks to intelligent energy recovery systems.

03 What other excavator attachments can I hire with hydraulic breakers?

We have a vast range of excavator attachments that can be hired alongside our hydraulic breakers, to help massively expand the potential uses of your excavator fleet, making your excavator extremely flexible for different on-site functions. We have 17 different categories of excavator attachments, from rotational grapples for hire to fixed pulverisers and clamshell buckets to ripper teeth. The experience of our team will ensure you find the right attachment for your project, as most excavator attachments are designed to provide high-value to niche jobs, meaning we just well have an attachment available that may save your hours of time or alternatively, avoid you having to hire multiple other equipment. An excavator is one of the most diverse pieces of plant you can have on-site, and our attachments, including our hydraulic breaker hire, can help you to maximise their potential.

04 Will your hydraulic breakers for hire fit the excavator I own?

For customers who own their own excavator and are coming to us for hydraulic breaker hire, we have a vast range of head brackets available, so we can fit to any excavator providing it is piped for breaker use (single line) if you’re unsure at all, just let us know and we’ll double check for you. After we’ve finalised your hire plan, we will deliver your hydraulic breaker to site and our manufacturer trained engineer will calibrate it to your excavator for you, so you’re ready to start working before we leave, no delays. You can transform the productivity of your excavator with our range of attachments, including our hydraulic breaker hire. If you’re interested in used excavators for sale, this is also something you can discuss with our team.
