Upgrades and Investment at our New, York Depot

In line with our infrastructure investment plan laid out 12 months ago, we have now completed our depot upgrades in the lovely city of York. Along with fleet and training investment, a large part of our plan is to improve our infrastructure across the country, to lead the market in service-driven plant hire.

After having completing depot upgrades at Manchester, Newcastle and Eccles, we have put our efforts into a brand new contemporary depot just off the A64 in York. The depot itself features a much larger dedicated workshop and better transport links which will allow us to increase our speed of service and availability of equipment.

We as a business have had the pleasure of servicing York for well over 15 years and we wanted our growth to be reflected in our service and offerings in the region and as such, we are delighted to announce the opening of our new depot, which we hope will be welcomed by customers and the wider community in the York region.

Charlie Hutchinson is our York Depot Manager and he deals with managing our operations in the region, staff and most importantly working with our customers to provide the most value to their project as we can. He has worked with Chippindale Plant for over 10 years now, first starting out running our Catterick depot before coming to York. He prides himself on giving customers what they need, when they need it, every single, time.

He is teamed up with his right-hand man Steve Mclean who mans the hire desk and expertly makes sure every hire runs smoothly for our customers. We know with the right team working in the region, with the best resources at hand, we can provide an exceptional service to our York-based customers.

Our York depot serves customers across the region including Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Driffield, Beverly, Cottingham, Kingston Upon Hull, Hull, Hornsea, Selby, Goole, Knottingley and Hessle.

We hope to implement a further string of upgrades, optimisations and investment into our depot structure over the course of 2019/20.
