Product Description

The STIHL FS 70 C-E is a petrol brushcutter with a bike handle design, ideal for tackling large areas of tough grass.

The adjustable bike handle, harness, and optimised trimmer angle make for easy and efficient cutting, especially over longer work periods. All controls are fully integrated into the handle, and a simply operated with your thumb, giving you maximum control and contributing to easy guiding and a smooth mowing action.

Due to STIHL’s ErgoStart technology, this brushcutter can be reliably started in various weather conditions with little effort – while the manual fuel pump and simplified starting system reduces the number of steps and starting stokes needed to get mowing.

This brushcutter’s engine is lightweight, has 20% lower emissions than most 2-stroke engines, and produces significantly lower emissions. Thus, making this machine well-balanced, economical, and better for the environment.

STIHL brushcutters are highly optimised pieces of machinery. That’s why this FS 70 C-E features:

  • Bike handle (smooth mowing action)
  • 2-stroke engine with stratified charge (20% lower fuel consumption and lowered emissions)
  • STIHL ErgoStart (cuts effort required to start in half)
  • Manual fuel pump (reduces number of starting strokes)
  • Multi-function control handle

Reduced-emission engine technology

2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Manual fuel pump (purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.

Stihl ergostart (E)

A genuine advance in easy starting. STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.

Features in depth

Simplified starting system

Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter core and away you go! The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.

Bike handle

When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.

Advance universal harness

Extremely ergonomic, comfortable and light. For strength saving, mowing and shredding. Chest belt and tool bag also available.

Multi-function control handle

Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.
