The FS 131 is STIHL’s most powerful petrol brushcutter designed for landscape maintenance, suiting it to tough tasks with large areas of tall grass and vegetation.

It features a powerful 4-stroke engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, but has all of the power, torque, reduced emissions, lower noise, and improved fuel efficiency of a 4-stroke. Naturally, this grants you the ability to complete your tasks quicker, quieter, and more easily.

The combination of bike handle design and high-quality harness make this brushcutter highly manoeuvrable and comfortable to use over long periods. Also, to suit your ideal working position, the handlebar can be fully adjusted without the need for any tools.

Thanks to the decompression system, manual fuel pump, and multi-function handle, this brushcutter is very easy to start, requiring less steps and little effort.

This machine also comes complete with two cutting attachments: a sturdy, precision crafted metal blade and a STIHL AutoCut mowing head.

Decompression system

The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.

Features in depth

Manual fuel pump (purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.

Anti-vibration system

Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

Stop switch

The multi-function control handle features a stop switch which automatically reverts back to the start position for a quicker, simple restart.

Loop handle

The loop handle is ideal for working in confined spaces, eg tidying between shrubs and bushes.
