The STIHL HS 82 RC-E is a heavy-duty petrol hedge trimmer ideal for professional use.

As this is an ‘R’ model, it is purposely designed for large volume cutting, utilising wide tooth spacing and longer tooth height. The high-quality double-sided blade is also crafted to ensure vegetation is optimally fed for quick and clean cuts every time. Together, this enables the blades to cut thicker branches and allowing you to complete your jobs faster.

Power comes from a STIHL 2-Mix engine, which combines excellent acceleration with low weight, low fuel consumption, and low emissions. Combined with the heavy-duty gear box, which allows for high cutting power at a medium stroke rate, this hedge trimmer can easily tackle demanding jobs while still remaining economical and friendly to the environment.

This machine also features a swivelling multi-function handle, which rotates a full 90° left and right, allowing you to achieve the best possible cutting position in full comfort.

Starting is also simple with the ErgoStart system, electronic ignition module, and manual fuel pump, reducing the effort required and ensuring reliable starts regardless of weather conditions.

Stihl 2-mix engine

The Stihl 2-mix engine specially desgined for the new generation of hedge trimmer combines low consumption and emissions with low weight and excellent acceleration. There are also always sufficient power reserves for cutting thicker shrubs.

Cutting variations (R)

The R variations of the STIHL HS 82 and STIHL HS 87 are designed specifically for the large volume cutting. They feature a cutting blade with a wide too spacing and longer tooth height. The gearing allows a high cutting power at a medium stroke rate. The R variations proivde the possibility of cutting thicker branches and completing clearing work faster.

Swivelling multi-function handle

The handle rotates by 90° to the left and right, ensuring the best cutting position at all times.

Electronic ignition module

This ensures reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and thus protected from damp and dirt.

Manual fuel pump (purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operations.

Anti-vibration system

Intense vibration of at the handles of power tools can lead to long -term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

Stihl ergostart (E)

A genuine advance in easy starting. STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.
