The RM 655 V is a 21” petrol lawnmower that is perfect for use on larger lawns up to 2500 m2 in size. Due to its high performance, it is ideal for both professional and domestic users.

This machine’s Vario drive system removes the need for manual pushing, making your mowing jobs much simpler. Speed can be easily changed on the handlebar to suit your preferences or lawn conditions – all without affecting blade and engine speed to ensure optimal performance.

The blade is multi-function, meaning that it can both cut and shred grass. This makes it ideal for conversion into a mulching unit without the need to swap blades.

For precise cuts, height can be adjusted in 7 increments (ranging from 25 to 85 mm) by the spring-loaded centrally-located lever.

The large 70-litre grass box also makes this mower ideal for large gardens, reducing the number of times that you need to empty, increasing productivity. The handle is also specially designed for very easy access.

Finally, a sturdy aluminium housing encases the powerful XT800 OHV SC engine, providing a lightweight shell that this highly-resistant to fuel and corrosion.

Thanks to the SmartChoke technology, the engine starts up reliably and with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting.

Vario self-drive

The Vario self-propulsion enables individual adaptation of the speed of the STIHL lawn mower to personal mowing habits and lawn conditions. The mowing speed can be infinitely varied using the control lever on the handlebar.

Mulching function

During mulching, the mulching blade shreds the mown grass before it falls back into the turf as a nutritional fertiliser. And with the appropriate mulching kit available as an optional accessory for this lawn mower, the machine can also be converted into a Multi-mower.

Multi-blade

FLEXIBLE MOWING AND MULCHING. The multi- blade allows you to mow and mulch without changing the blade. The specially shaped blades shred the cut grass. Then you decide whether the grass should be transported into the collection box via air flow, or further shredded and distributed evenly over the green area to become a nutrient-rich fertiliser.

Fold-open grass catcher box with level indicator

The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened end emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward- facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

Smooth-running wheels

The easy-running wheels of our cordless lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and perfect line holding during mowing.

Aluminium housing

The current height is indicated by a scale. In this way, the grass can always be optimally adapted to the conditions of the lawn surface and the use.
